Deputy Director of Finance Department
The Deputy Director will be responsible for essential daily transactions and will ensure that the accounting is accurate and complies with GAAP and US Government standards. This role requires sound accounting and management knowledge and previous relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
Ó Assists Director in coordinating policy-related areas of financial operations and in resolving issues both internally and with external agencies and service providers.
Ó Supervises staff responsible for processing expense reports, consultancy contracts, and housing payments; monitors accounting and supervises cash management of expense reports and travel advances;.
Ó Assists in implementing payment to external agencies, with reference to contractual issues, ensures adherence to departmental policies.
Ó Ensures distribution, completion and submission of tax declarations to tax entities.
Ó Researches local tax matters and advises Director on the company's obligations to financial authorities.
Ó Serves as Payroll Liaison between our Prague and Washington offices
Ó Formats, verifies, and delivers payroll file to bank.
Ó Advises Director on operational and personnel matters.
Ó Substitutes for Director of Prague Finance as required.
Požadavky:
Qualifications:
Ó International accounting accreditation and/or degree in Accounting or related field.
Ó Three to five years practical international accounting experience. Previous accounting experience in medium to large not-for-profit organization,
Ó Background in general accounting, budget review, reporting and payroll management.
Ó Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written; Czech language a plus.
Ó Sound knowledge of computer accounting systems; PeopleSoft (SAP or Oracle), experience in system implementation and/or upgrade a plus.
Ó Advanced knowledge of the MS-Office Suite, especially Excel.
Ó Must possess analytical and leadership skills, demonstrating congenial attitude with ability to interact in a diverse workforce; Must be able to work independently and under tight deadlines.
